At Class Affair Inc the golden rule is to perform each event according to your requirements. My name is Michael Scott, the crowd pleaser, and I have performed as a professional master-of-ceremonies and disc jockey in the greater New York area since 1985. Basically, secret of being a ‘crowd pleaser' is actually quite simple – I just ask you and your guests what songs they like - and I play them! With over 20,000 selections of popular American music, old and new, there will be something for everyone. And your guests will be able to enjoy conversation during cocktails and dinner without competing with loud music or blinding lights. Whether a wedding reception or a corporate dinner/dance, I will be able to perform any aspect of your format with the degree of personality and flair you desire. I am prepared to make any announcements required, coordinate the format with the facility management, and even show your guests how to do the Alley Cat or Macarena, or refrain from playing certain selections, as you wish! I always encourage potential clients to gather as much information as they can, contact references, and never rush into hiring someone regardless of what they tell you! In the process of doing that try to keep in mind that any DJ you hire should adhere to the following principles: DJ should always check his/her Ego at the door. DJ should always behave as if he/she is a guest in the home of a person he or she respects. DJ should always remember it is not his or her program, it is the client's program.
